Subject: Record Picker - a native Apple app for rediscovering a record collection

Hello,

I am an independent developer and recently launched Record Picker, a native Swift/SwiftUI app designed to catalog and rediscover a vinyl and CD collection. It is available on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch.

As a collection grows, it becomes increasingly easy to keep playing the same albums while forgetting a large part of what is already on the shelf. Record Picker offers three ways to choose what to play next:

- Random Pick: a standard or weighted draw that can bring less-played records back into rotation while taking favorites, filters, and listening history into account.
- Mood Pick: users describe what they feel like hearing - quiet music for reading, an electronic evening, a rainy Sunday - and the app suggests a suitable album. On compatible devices, this is powered by Apple Intelligence directly on the device.
- Today's Pick: the app matches the user's collection with verified music news, significant anniversaries, and, optionally, nearby concerts. Every recommendation explains why the album was selected and includes a dated source. The collection itself is never sent to the news service.

For classical music collectors, dedicated fields distinguish composers, works, catalog numbers, conductors, orchestras, soloists, and recording details, accurately describing each interpretation and edition.

The app also provides Discogs-compatible importing, detailed statistics, and an Apple Watch experience designed for quick one-handed use, with blurred cover artwork, thumb-friendly controls, and dedicated haptic feedback.

Record Picker has no advertising, tracking, or subscription. It is free for collections of up to 100 records, with a one-time Pro purchase unlocking unlimited collections.
